a few projects

Ahhh  Fall time!  Cool, crisp mornings....the warmth of the sun.  I just LOVE this time of year!
I have been able to enjoy a couple mornings just sittin' on the deck sippin' my coffee.  With this weather, I've been cravin' me some Vanilla Carmel Coffee Mate....I guess I better get me some.

One morning while sittin' outside I asked my hubby to cut me a few boards....to my surprise he presented me with three boards.  I got out my paints and this is what I came up with....
I'd still like to add something like raffia or ribbon....just not sure!
I also made a few paper pumpkins.
Thinkin' about on the back side of the BOO adding a Christmas type paper then painting JOY.
Whatcha think?

I've also been inspired by of coarse Pinterest (who hasn't ~ right?) and have several other little things going on.  Once completed, I'll share.
Until then, I'm hoping to get a challenge in.....

a challenge....finally!

Do you ever just have one of those days???
This morning I was up before 6 am (yes AM) after telling my hubby last night that
I really wanted to sleep in..haha said the 4 legged hounds!
After seeing my sister's projects http://passionnutaboutpaper.blogspot.com I thought I'd better get my creative mind a going!  Once again, haha..a nap sounded better.
However, I did still have a productive day, but once again my blog gets the last of my attention.
I checked out several blogs for inspiration
and decided that Retro Sketches had a challenge that I needed to do.

Happy Fall Ya'll

It's a beautiful fall day here in NW Arkansas!
I spent the morning outside with the hounds enjoying the warmth of the sun.  However, sneezing like crazy.
I did manage to get some playing around in the craftin' room done....
my little Halloween canvas.  I used Claudine Hellmuth's Studio multi-medium gloss with Adorn It Halloween paper.  The black bird is chipboard that I stamped with black then put Glossy accents on it.  Stamped happy halloween & bird with a fence on the lower right side, put a little orange string around it then painted the little stand.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Missin' in action.....

Help.....I've fallin' & I can't seem to get back into 'blog-land'.  Wow I really can't believe it's been 3 months....don't ask because I can't even come up with a good excuse.  I guess with my step son's wedding, a friend's wedding, doggie classes and life in general, it just got put on the back burner.

I don't have any pictures of projects, however, I've been working on a few new things.  I made a couple pumpkins using a circle punch and a mini canvas.  Hoping that take two will work on the canvas...not too happy with the results of the first try.  Sooooo......since I remembered my password & how to type to post on my blog again.....I'll be back.

An unexpected gift ~

Ya know I wasn't planning on playing along, however, I received an unexpected gift that needed a cute Thank you card.  Sooooo...here you go....

Thank you to Retro Sketches for my inspiration today!

I really enjoy your blog!

Not feelin' challenged today...

My posts are usually linked to a challenge or even two....I've been a little under the weather this week, so no challenges, just a couple man-cards.  Of coarse, I offered to make a card for 'the head' guy's birthday at work...I know...I could have used one of the challenges as inspiration, but wow by the time I checked them out, over 100 + entries already.  Any who....here they are.....

Inside I stamped...You're not getting any younger...step on it!  Happy Birthday.
Just "Happy Birthday" inside this one.

I figured the ladies could choose which one they wanted to give.
I like the kid on the bike best.

finally....

These past few weeks have been a world wind.
I finally made myself sit down this evening to make a card.
Retro Sketches had an awesome sketch using a tag.  I love tags!

Then CAS-ual Friday's challenge was a Masculine card using designer paper.
Well, with Father's Day right around the corner, it got me thinkin' ....

This is what I came up with using pieces of scraps from My Mind's Eye paper.
